On February 14th, 2001, Noel, who is my son, and I, had the pleasure of meeting with Ray Hollick at Santa Ana Casino to talk to him about the Website that Noel was making about RayHollick's Fan Club and about the Fan Club we were starting in honor of him on YahooGroups.com.

We arrived early...and Ray was busy in a meeting..so we looked around a little bit..and played the slots.  I was lucky...and after we cashed the money in...we went  back into the show room...and Ray was very cordial and welcomed us very warmly. We found a seat at one of the tables and here is what we talked about.

We found Ray to be a very sincere person...very polite...and down to earth individual.  I don't know about Noel..but I was very nervous. Ray put us at ease immediately and words came very easy.  He speaks with a slight Canadian accent which adds to his charm.  I never noticed this with his singing...but then...when he is up on the stage...he is so relaxed and entertaining...I love every minute of his performance as well as the audience...he has their attention and they really welcome him enthusiastically.

Now let me tell you right here.....I had a tablet with me to write down what he had to say and the answers to our questions....but when we left....I had only one of his EMail addresses written down.  He commented on this...and I had to laugh...and was a little embarrassed.  I probably am not the best reporter in the world...but I am a very loyal fan. Talking with him...I forgot to write down the things said...but hopefully between Noel and I...we can remember what was said.
Where we got the information...I have no idea...but we thought Ray lived in Las Vegas. He does not.  He lives in Canada, but spoke highly of New Mexico and loves it here and would like to move here someday.  With him performing at Santa Ana Casino in Albuquerque, NM so often (and they extended his contract again for another month and he also will be here for three more months in May)...there is a possibility they will keep him permanently....it would be very nice if he could move here.
